Grinder

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Grinder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating grinding machines to produce precision parts and components. This role requires attention to detail and a commitment to quality, ensuring that all finished products meet stringent specifications. The Grinder will work closely with other team members to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.

**THIS IS OUR NIGHT SHIFT 4PM - 12:30 PM. TRAINING SCHEDULE WILL BE 7:30- 4 PM THE 1ST THREE WEEKS.
Contract to long-term hire.   Pay range $22-$28/Hour

Duties

· Operate grinding machines, including CNC and manual grinders, to produce parts according to specifications.

· Perform quality inspections on finished products using tools such as micrometers and calipers to ensure adherence to tolerances.

· Utilize hand tools and machinery, including lathes and milling machines, for part preparation and finishing.

· Conduct routine maintenance on equipment and report any malfunctions or issues to supervisors.

· Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area at all times.

· Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.

· Use cranes and forklifts for the safe movement of materials within the facility.

Experience

· Previous experience as a Grinder or in a similar manufacturing role is preferred.

· Familiarity with quality inspection processes and tools is essential.

· Proficiency in operating CNC machines, lathes, milling machines, and other relevant equipment is highly desirable.

· Basic math skills are necessary for measurements and calculations related to machining tasks.

· Experience working with sheet metal is a plus.

· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
