Gratiot-Isabella RESD: Human Resources Internship Deadline: June 1, 2026 District/Organization: Gratiot-Isabella RESD Position/Type: Other, internship Salary: $20/hr Position Details Gratiot-Isabella RESD Human Resources Intern Program Start: August 2026 (College Juniors or Seniors are encouraged to apply) Curriculum Overview Duration: 1 year (training) (Extension: TBD) Format: Modular, with weekly objectives and activities Key Areas Covered: Employee Onboarding Contract Creation Understanding Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA) Employee Benefits (in collaboration with Benefit Coordinator) Digitizing Employee Files Opening Day Projects Monthly Breakdown Month 1: Opening Day Projects Participate in planning and execution of Opening Day activities Coordinate with various departments for event logistics Gather feedback and suggest improvements for future events Month 2: Introduction to Onboarding Orientation to company policies and HR procedures Shadowing HR team during onboarding processes Introduction to contract templates and creation Month 3: Contracts & CBAs In-depth training on employment contracts Understanding the language and nuances of CBAs Dos and donts when discussing CBAs Month 4: Employee Benefits Collaborate with Kim Greening to learn about employee benefits Assist in benefit enrollment and communication Develop FAQs or informational materials for employees Month 5: Digital Transformation Training on electronic filing systems Assist in converting paper files to digital formats Ensure compliance with data protection regulations Month 6: Review & Presentation Compile a portfolio of completed projects Present learnings and contributions to the HR team Provide feedback on the internship experience Month 7-12: Intern applies what has been learned.
