    The Graphics Traffic Specialist is essentially a creative project manager who is responsible the daily management of marketing-related projects.

    This person will work directly with both the Creative Services and Marketing teams and will be responsible for processing creative project requests, building proofing schedules, assigning jobs to designers, keeping project managers and the creative team on task and on deadline, handling job logistics, working with print vendors, routing proofs to the proper stakeholders, keeping all parties updated on project progress, and ensuring work is executed correctly at all stages of the job.

    Essential Job Functions

    Process and manage all project requests

    Set project dates, build proofing schedules, compile status updates and keep stakeholders on task

    Manage the workflow of graphic artists to ensure deadlines are met

    Proof/edit all publications created by the department

    Maintain list of current projects that includes project status and deadlines

    Negotiate bids with outside printers for all publications

    Coordinate flyer and material distribution

    Contact outside vendors to acquire artwork and information for publications

    Conduct weekly departmental production meetings

    Serve as a liaison between the Creative Services and Marketing team and other departmental stakeholders

    Troubleshoot systems, procedures, and work flow to ensure deadlines are met

    Make recommendations to increase the effectiveness of our current systems and work flow

    Assist with special department projects as needed

    Skills/Education/Knowledge/

    Experience/Abilities

    Required:

    High school diploma or equivalent

    Two or more years’ experience in an advertising agency or related experience

    Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)

    Good written and verbal communication skills

    Ability to multitask and keep track of many projects and deadlines at the same time

    Advanced proofing skills and excellent attention to detail

    Ability to set and manage strict deadlines to keep jobs on track

    Knowledge of publication printing, Mac platform software, and art files

    Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously

    Ability to communicate professionally and effectively and work in a team environment

    Ability to understand and interpret rules and processes, and be willing to hold accountability standards across departments

    Be willing and able to function in a solutions-oriented environment, meeting both internal and external client expectations

    Must present a professional company image and positive attitude

    Desired: 

    Knowledge and previous experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere and After Effects etc.)

    Pre-press procedures

    Knowledge of sheet fed, web, and double-web printing techniques

    A strong Print or Marketing background
