Job Summary
The WIC Program seeks a temporary Graphic Designer for a 6-monthcontract.
This role manages the development, design, and production of educational and outreach materials.
The designer collaborates with program staff to create visual concepts for social marketing and nutrition education campaigns.

Work Schedule & Location
Duration: 6-month contract.
Months 14: 100% Remote.
Months 56: Hybrid (1 day per week on-site at our new Cambridge Street office in Boston starting late October/November, 2026).
Hours: Part-time, 22.50 hours per week

Core Responsibilities
Visual Design: Create layouts for brochures, booklets, banner ads, billboards, and video assets using Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign and Illustrator).
Inclusive Marketing: Develop culturally diverse materials tailored for specific target audiences, including layout preparation for up to nine languages.
Vendor Management: Solicit bids through the state procurement system, coordinate timelines, review proofs, and evaluate the performance of external printers and translators.
Brand Consistency: Maintain design file organization and collaborate with state and local WIC staff to ensure all materials align with program priorities.
Project Support: Produce presentation aids and conference materials while providing technical design assistance to project managers.

Candidate Qualifications
Experience: 12 years of professional graphic design experience.
Software: Advanced proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Adobe Illustrator a must.
Skills: Experience managing print production, vendor bidding workflows, and multilingual layouts.
Assets: Strong file organization and portfolio demonstrating design for diverse audiences.

We are currently preparing for our office move from 250 Washington Street to 100 Cambridge Street.
Please note that starting July 1st, our team will transition to 100% telework.
We will remain fully remote until our new office is ready in October or November.
Once the move is complete, we will operate on-site at 100 Cambridge Street one day per week.
