Production Artist, Basketball WNBA Apparel Graphics - Sport
WHO YOU LL WORK WITH
You will report directly to the Production Art Manager or Senior Manager, while working in collaboration with fellow Graphic Production Artists and Graphic Designers. Your primary cross functional partners will be Apparel Design, Graphic Design, Product Management, Technical Development and Material Development.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a Production Artist to join the Design Production Art team who loves the technical details of the graphic process as well as finding new ways of working. This role amplifies graphic design by delivering flawless, production-ready files. They are a trusted resource within the team, creating detailed and accurate graphic schematics, with the ability to run point for Production Art within given categories by attending meetings, identifying personal action items, and being available as the go-to graphic production resource for a greater, cross-functioning team. In addition, they will coach and lead our team into new ways of working. This candidate needs to have a creative mindset and the ability to manage multiple projects in a time-sensitive environment, while keeping production moving forward.
Bachelor s degree in graphic design or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
5+ years of experience in a design and/or production environment
Proficient knowledge of Illustrator and Adobe Suite
Advanced of graphic applications such as ink types and trim substrates
Understanding of product lifecycle and key deliverables
Expert-Level listening, communication and organizational skills
Proven ability to support and lead peers in new tools and ways of working
Ability to navigate ambiguity while continuing to collaborate with the team
Laser focus on the critical details that often get missed
Ability to multi-task amidst competing priorities
Curiosity for learning and building a strong design community
Experience in 3D apparel programs (CLO or Lotta) is preferred
Understanding of Smartsheets, Airtable, and Miro is a plus
A love for sports is a bonus but a love for design is essential
WHAT YOU LL WORK ON
If this is you, you will be working on highly visible Basketball WNBA product across cut and sew and tees. This is where sport, design, style and culture meet and where we are redefining graphics for both athletes and fans. You will work with Design to create and finalize graphic details across multiple levels of product. You will be inspired and challenged by a wide range of responsibilities and experiences.
You will do this by leveraging 2D and 3D tools. A typical day could include Production Art meetings and alignment, high-volume schematic creation and Client-down product page creation, creating documentation for downstream partners and reviewing strike-offs. In addition to creation, you will be responsible for tracking and maintaining updates on all appropriate files for accuracy through final approval. You will learn new tools and advocate for efficiencies in the product creation life cycle.

Desired Candidate Profile:
Minimum required years of experience: 5+ YOE in Production Art for Apparel
Education requirements: Bachelors or equivalent experience
Must have skills:
Experience with Licensed apparel, Visual systems experience, micro branding
Confident in logo and branding decisions they're making, okay with ambiguity, teams are still forming and not all answers will be clear
Portfolio: experience working on licensed products, includes technical schematics for logos and trims, clear examples of what parts of the process they've owned
Nice to have skills:
Experience or interest with basketball and WNBAI, is interested in working across all WNBA teams, it s helpful if they have an understanding of team and league demographics
Working on cut and sew apparel and tee-shirts
Software/technical requirements:
3D experience, CLO, Ai tools - has an interest or experience with it
