Job Description
We are seeking a Motion Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro, and end-to-end video production, and a proven ability to deliver polished motion and video assets that support customer-facing, marketing, and social media outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Create motion graphics, animations, and video edits for customer-facing, marketing, and social channels.
- Translate raw files and product narratives into compelling motion assets that support storytelling and product education.
- Edit and refine video content for pacing, clarity, visual quality, and impact; apply transitions, typography, motion effects, sound sync, and color adjustments.
- Prepare outputs for multiple formats, channels, and aspect ratios; ensure deliverables are brand-aligned, accessible, and publication-ready.
- Use and update product assets, UI designs, and prototypes to create accurate video captures and motion sequences.
- Apply strong visual judgment across composition, timing, typography, hierarchy, pacing, and storytelling while maintaining brand consistency.
- Manage production workflows including file naming conventions, asset organization, version control, delivery tracking, timelines, milestones, and status updates.
- Track feedback, revisions, approvals, and final outputs; communicate risks, blockers, and dependencies that may affect quality or timing.
- Collaborate with design, product, and business stakeholders; prepare design options, revised cuts, and final assets for reviews.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Motion Design, Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Film/Video Production, Digital Media, Studio Art/Fine Art, or related field.
- 2-4 years of professional motion design, video editing, or digital production experience.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe After Effects and/or Adobe Premiere Pro; working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 products including Copilot, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Clipchamp.
- Working proficiency in Figma for navigating design files, updating product content, and preparing assets in coordination with product designers.
- Portfolio demonstrating motion graphics, video editing, visual storytelling, and polished production execution for marketing or product-related content.
- Strong understanding of motion principles, typography, pacing, composition, visual hierarchy, and brand consistency.
- Proven ability to manage organization, naming conventions, version tracking, timelines, milestones, and deliverables across multiple projects.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience creating motion or video content for technology, productivity, SaaS, or enterprise customer scenarios.
- Familiarity with accessibility for video including captions, readable text, contrast, and clear visual communication.
- Background in structured production environments with review cycles, stakeholder feedback, and delivery tracking.
Role Logistics
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week. No overtime.
- Work setup: Remote. Preference for West Coast candidates.
- Equipment: Supplier provides standard equipment such as laptop, mouse, headset, and extra monitor.
