ABOUT THE TEAM
" Production Artist Footwear Digital Design, within the Design Excellence organization
" The team takes graphics from Graphic Designers and executes them for Production
" Creating tech pack schematics and making good design decisions
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR
" A technical, production-minded graphic designer this role is heavy on the technical graphic design side
" Someone who understands design thinking, but this is not a conceptual design role
" Genuine interest in production, the technical side of design, and building schematics
WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON
" Taking graphics from Graphic Designers and executing them for production
" Building tech pack schematics
" Labeling design dimensions, separating layers, and maintaining files for product design
" Making sound design decisions within production constraints
PORTFOLIO EXPECTATIONS
" Design schematics, range as a graphic designer, digital design for print
" Labeling design dimensions, separating layers, packaging design
" Portfolios should be more technical and show process work for print, book, or product design
" Not looking for: illustration-heavy or branding-heavy portfolios, or portfolios focused on concept work
MUST-HAVE
" 1+ years of experience with schematic or graphic production design e.g. packaging, print design, footwear, technical graphic design, book design, typography
" Graphic Design degree or similar
" Strong technical graphic design capability; understands design thinking without being a conceptual designer
" Interest in production, the technical side of design, and building schematics
" Portfolio demonstrating technical process work
NICE-TO-HAVE
" Knowledge of pre-press, screen printing, trims, printing process, typography
" Adobe Illustrator, pre-press color separations, maintaining files for product design
" Strong footwear interest (experience not required)
" Previous industry experience in this space
