    PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: Teaches Graphic Design & Visual Communications skills and knowledge full-time to students in grades 9-12 in accordance with the Chapter 74 Graphic Design & Visual Communications Frameworks. Develops lesson plans, maintains an electronic gradebook, and organizes class time so that preparation, instruction, shop work, and clean-up activities can be accomplished within the allotted time. Demonstrates occupational materials, equipment, tools, and processes using standard or teacher-prepared models, mock-ups, sketches, and other instructional aids in accordance with the Chapter 74 Graphic Design & Visual Communications Frameworks. Grades and monitors student progress through the use of progress reports, report cards, and student competency lists. Communicates with employers, parents, and school counselors on individual pupil progress. Interacts, as needed, with community members and school-based colleagues to address Graphic Design-related projects. Attends special education Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, where the teacher's presence is required. Attends meetings as required by the teacher contracts. Performs other duties assigned by the Superintendent-Director.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: This position may require long periods of standing and lifting up to 50lbs. The teacher may also be required to operate hand tools and motor equipment and may work in confined spaces with exposure to dust, smoke, fumes, and gases.

    TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Ten-month, school year position (183 days). Initial salary will be established by the Superintendent-Director in accordance with the Teachers' Contract. Fringe benefits as outlined in the Teachers' Contract.

    EVALUATION: As per the Teachers' Contract.
