Grants Coordinator Position Details

KEY ELEMENTS OF THE ROLE:

  • Act as the administrator of a Countywide programs to issue grants for the Department of Environmental Quality.

  • Lead a team of administrative staff members who are responsible for processing, issuing, contracting and payment of grants.

  • Regular public communication regarding the status of the program.

  • Improve efficiency to maximize grant output by identifying staffing needs, process improvements, and dissolution of bottlenecks.

  • Develop and provide program metrics to effectively measure program performance.

  • Present data driven proposals for program changes and improvements.

  • Vision to implement new grant programs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

OPEN COMPETITIVE

Graduation from a New York State or regionally accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree, and three (3) years of experience in preparing, researching and monitoring grants from state and federal sources.

NOTE: Relevant additional education will be substituted for experience on a year-for-year basis.
