General Function

This position supports faculty and development teams in the pursuit of grant funds to support new and improved programs and services at the college.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Research funding opportunities, analyze funding agency requirements, and anticipate the

  2. College's competitive position and response to current priorities.

  3. Serve as a project manager by facilitating meetings with faculty and staff, establishing project timelines, and assigning tasks.

  4. Lead the development of grant proposals (develop content, edit drafts, create budgets), ensuring that proposed activities and costs are in compliance with college policies and funding agency requirements.

  5. Transition projects from pre-award to post-award, coordinating with the Grants Administration Team.

  6. Track development activity and foster collaborative efforts to ensure effective and timely development of proposals, and provide periodic reports on grant development activities.

  7. Assist with continuous improvement efforts by organizing and presenting training for faculty and staff, soliciting feedback from grant managers, and researching best practices as needed.

Minimum Requirements and Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and 1-3 years of professional work experience directly related to the essential job duties in the areas of proposal preparation, grant development, budgeting, grant administration, and compliance

Direction Given: Provides guidance to collaborative writing teams and provides guidance to project directors
