Job Description:

SunSoft Online is seeking a Grant Project Specialist for a contract opportunity with an Arizona state agency supporting veteran services programs.

Position Details

• Location: Phoenix, AZ 85012 — Hybrid (2 days in office, 3 remote; you choose your in-office days)
  
• Pay Rate: $23.00/hr W2
  
• Start Date: June 22, 2026 (tentative)
  
• Duration: Through December 31, 2026
  
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM
  

About the Role

Under the supervision of the Grants Coordinator Senior, you will support the administration of contracts, grants, and grant-funded programs benefiting veterans and their families throughout Arizona — including community-based grants, suicide prevention, mental health, employment, and trauma treatment training programs.

Responsibilities

• Receive Veterans' Donation Fund (VDF) applications, check compliance, and present them to the review committee
  
• Process veteran funding approvals and denials
  
• Coordinate grant and contract management, compliance, and oversight activities
  
• Provide technical support for agency grant programs and administrative operations
  
• Collaborate with agency staff and strategic partners to pursue grant opportunities aligned with the needs of Arizona veterans
  

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of administrative experience within the grants field (must be clearly reflected on your resume)
  
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
  
• Must be local to the Phoenix metro area (current Arizona address required on resume)
  
• Available for an in-person interview within 1 week
  
• Able to start within 2 weeks of an offer
  
• Background check and drug screening required
