Summary

Assist the School of Cultural and Critical Studies Administration in planning, coordinating, and implementing events sponsored and co-sponsored by the School.

Essential Functions

  • Help organize planning meetings.
  • Maintain and update the event website and social media sites as well as publicize events.
  • Draft text for emails, letters, posters, and other related materials for the event.
  • Help collect and organize call for proposals.
  • Maintain presenter/attendee registration information.
  • Work with BGSU marketing to develop and print event materials: name badges, programs, etc.
  • Assist in coordinating event volunteers.
  • Archive event materials and photos.
  • Other related tasks as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Excel, Microsoft Word, Google Docs, Canvas, Outlook, OneDrive, Zoom required.
  • Knowledge of Camtasia, Adobe Photoshop and Acrobat preferred.
  • Knowledge of operating media equipment preferred.
  • Experience working within an office atmosphere preferred.
  • Website and social media experience helpful.
  • Ability to work independently using foresight.
  • Good time management skills and problem-solving skills required.
