Nature & Purpose of Position

The Department of Physical Therapy is seeking two Graduate Research Assistants for a state-funded study on falls prevention. Assistants will work with faculty and the project manager on screening, intervention and community outreach activities. This is a part time position with flexible scheduling around classes.

Project Overview

Responsibilities include:

• Helping recruit and schedule participants and support community screening events
• Assist with assessments and data collection under faculty supervision
• Enter, check and organize study data
• Support intervention sessions and community education events
• Maintain confidentiality and follow IRB-approved procedures
• Reliable, detail-oriented and comfortable working with older adults
• Able to travel to local community sites

Key Qualifications

• Department: Any graduate health profession programs
• Commitment: 10 hours weekly, in person
• Prior research, clinical or community health experience
• CITI human subjects (can be completed after hire)
• Spanish language profiency
