    Graduate Assistants will assist the Floor Engineer with the operations of the I-HACK Makerspace and collaboration with CEB Senior Design Projects.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The position may involve some or all of the following.

    1. Ability to conduct experiments accurately and promptly

    2. Maintain, calibrate, and operate laboratory instruments

    3. Assist in the setup and use of new lab equipment

    4. Prepare experiments, set up and assist faculty with laboratory classes

    5. Enter, clean, and analyze data using Excel spreadsheets and applicable statistical programs

    6. Understand and practice lab safety protocols

    7. Coordinate meetings, manage calendars, and take minutes at meetings

    8. Collaborate with undergraduate students on research and class projects

    9. Assist in responsibilities regarding Makerspace

    10. Performs other duties as assigned within the scope, responsibility, and requirements of the position

    Leadership: You will be required to lead and help those students who you oversee and doing so safely and confidently leads to success.

    Professionalism: A Makerspace like this promotes professionalism and work ethic. Students need to demonstrate responsibility, reliability, and integrity in handling equipment and materials. You could be doing dirty work in the morning and have a business lunch in the afternoon.

    Required Qualifications

    Undergraduate degree in an appropriate engineering/business degree and full-time enrollment in a Master of CEB program.

    Preferred Qualifications

    Technical trade skills, manufacturing experience, working engineering skills, practical OSHA knowledge, leadership skills.

    Physical Demands

    Be able to work in busy laboratory environment. Must be able to lift 50 lbs
