Description

Title: Graduate Assistant - Cancer Epidemiology (Hawaii Pacific Foundation)

Monthly Type: 11 Month Full Time/Part Time: Part Time - Full Time Equivalency (FTE): 50% FTE

Posting Start Date: June 15, 2026

Available Positions: One (1) Temporary/Permanent: Temporary

Salary: Step 14 ($2,335.50 per month)

Other conditions: Inquiring candidates must be enrolled as a student at University of Hawaii Manoa campus.

Job Duties:

  • Assist Principal Investigator (PI) with writing research papers for journal submissions

  • Maintain record of human subjects in research studies.

  • Provide support to PI with data analysis and interpretation

  • Perform other duties assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A classified University of Hawaii at Manoa graduate student (new or continuing). Good academic standing (3.0 GPA or above).

  • Enrolled into a University of Hawaii at Manoa graduate program.

  • Competent in general computer programs (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

  • Ability to safeguard confidential and sensitive material and information

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Expressed interest in Cancer Epidemiology or Prevention

  • Working knowledge of SAS, R and other data analysis software

  • Knowledge of database management and program evaluation
