The ETSU College of Nursing, Department of Graduate Nursing Programs, invites applications for a 9-month, open-rank, tenured/tenure-track faculty position.

Successful candidates will be expected to contribute primarily to teaching in the graduate nursing program. However, the incumbent should have the ability to contribute to the Colleges teaching, research, and service responsibilities across undergraduate and graduate programs. The position requires engagement in classroom, lab, simulation, and clinical-based teaching, supporting the development of future nursing professionals. The new faculty will join a dynamic group of nursing educators with a strong commitment to student success through innovative evidence-based teaching strategies, inter-professional collaboration, and fostering an environment where every student feels valued and supported.

Candidates should have the scholarly preparation expected of faculty in research academic environments. Candidates should show evidence of strong teaching ability at the collegiate level, a record of peer-reviewed scholarly productivity appropriate to rank, and the potential - or, if at the Associate level, a documented history - of securing external funding. They must maintain an active, clearly defined program of research that aligns with and advances the mission and vision of the ETSU College of Nursing, particularly its commitments to rural health, community engagement, and improving health outcomes in the Appalachian region.

This position requires teaching, research and service duties to be conducted in person on campus. Remote or hybrid work options are not available.

Rank is determined at the time of hiring. Candidates considered for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor must possess a terminal academic doctoral degree in nursing or related field by the start date and demonstrate the potential for research productivity. Some appointments may be eligible for tenure.
