    Gannon University's School of Education is currently seeking a Graduate Assistant for the Fall 2026/Spring 2027 semesters. Applicants must be admitted graduate students actively pursuing their degree full-time in a field related to education. This position offers remitted tuition benefits and a stipend, with a typical work schedule of 10 hours per week. The appointment duration is one year. The Graduate Assistant will support a research project focused on teacher preparation and curriculum. Tasks may include conducting a literature review on curriculum use, designing and administering surveys, collecting and analyzing data, and assisting with preparing research reports.

    Required Qualifications

    • Educational Background: Enrolled in a graduate program focused on education, such as Curriculum and Instruction, Educational Leadership, Special Education, or a related field.
    • Teaching or Educational Experience: Previous experience in teaching, tutoring, instructional design, curriculum development, or other educational roles is highly valued.
    • Technology Skills: Proficiency in educational technology tools, learning management systems (e.g., Canvas, Blackboard), and software relevant to education (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace).
    • Research Skills: Familiarity with educational research methodologies, data analysis, literature review, and the ability to contribute to research projects within the School of Education.
    • Communication Abilities: Strong written and oral communication skills for creating reports, presentations, and effectively communicating with students, faculty, and stakeholders.
    • Organizational Skills: Effective time management, ability to prioritize tasks, and manage responsibilities related to assisting faculty members and supporting educational programs.
    • Collaboration and Teamwork: Experience working collaboratively in academic settings, contributing ideas, participating in team meetings, and supporting colleagues in achieving educational objectives.
