Job Summary/Basic Function
Gain valuable experience in higher education admissions and recruitment in this full-time graduate assistantship in the Admissions office. This energetic team collaborates with multiple campus partners including the Honors College, Athletics, Student Affairs, Financial Aid, Orientation, and Academic Colleges to support prospective students and their families. Enhance your communication and public speaking skills through delivering information sessions to prospective students and families; engage in practical, hands-on work in event coordination, logistics, and real‑time problem‑solving in a fast‑paced environment.
Required Qualifications
All graduate assistants must be enrolled in a Millersville University graduate program; non-degree students and those only seeking post-baccalaureate certification are not eligible.
Full-time Graduate Assistants must be enrolled in and maintain a minimum of 6 credits in Fall semester and in Spring semester.
Must be available for on-campus work.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Enrollment in School Counseling Master's program.
Job Duties
The Graduate Assistant will play a key role in supporting the daily campus visit experience. This position focuses on the day-to-day operations of the visitation program and is supervised by an Assistant Director who oversees daily visitation efforts. The GA will serve as a primary support for daily execution and act as a backup when needed.
Support the daily campus visitation program, including setup, execution, and follow-up
Assist with day-to-day operations and logistics of visits, serving as a backup to the Assistant Director for general oversight
Work directly with student staff (The Crew), including assisting with scheduling, managing call-offs, and providing day-of coordination
Deliver daily information sessions/presentations to prospective students and their families
Ensure a high-quality, welcoming experience for all campus visitors
Assist with communication and outreach to prospective students (email, text, and phone as needed)
