IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Campus Executive Chef & Graceland Inn General Manager
STATUS: Full-Time or Part-Time
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt, hourly
JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for thoroughly cleaning all dishes, silverware, and other items under strict sanitary conditions.
DUTIES:
- Run dishes and silverware through dish machine following proper procedures. Clean and maintain certain equipment and areas as designated by management. Keep dish room clean at all times.
- Keep sufficient supply of China, silverware, trays, cups, and glasses during service periods.
- Clean dish machine after each meal.· Sweep and mop dish room floor at the end of each day, and empty mop bucket. De-lime the dish machine once a week.
- Soak and scrub-stained cups weekly.
- Exercise extreme precaution and carefully follow instructions and procedures when using chemicals.
- Follow cleaning schedule and using "clean as you go" techniques.
- Maintain an open line of communication with management, informing them of products and supplies needed.
- Follow the uniform dress code and maintain proper personal hygiene.
- Assist fellow associates at every opportunity. Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
PREREQUISITES / EDUCATION:
- Previous kitchen experience preferred, but not required
