Immediate Opening
We are seeking a highly experienced Lead GPS Software, Systems, Information Assurance (IA), and Cryptography Engineer to support advanced defense navigation technologies in Yorba Linda, CA. This role is ideal for a hands-on technical leader with deep expertise in Military GPS cryptography, embedded software development, secure systems engineering, and Modernized GPS User Equipment (MGUE) programs.
The selected candidate will play a critical role in the development and advancement of secure military navigation solutions supporting Assured Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (A-PNT) capabilities across ground, airborne, maritime, space, and weapons platforms.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, development, integration, and implementation of secure GPS software, systems, and cryptographic solutions.
  • Provide technical expertise in both Legacy and Modernized Military GPS Cryptography.
  • Support secure embedded system development for advanced military navigation and anti-jam technologies.
  • Drive system security and information assurance initiatives throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with program teams, stakeholders, and government reviewers to support successful certification and compliance activities.
  • Provide guidance and technical leadership during FSET reviews and related evaluation efforts.
  • Support Test Vector (TV) and Software Design Specification (SDS) analysis activities.
  • Contribute to the development of next-generation military GPS and A-PNT capabilities.
Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in Modernized Military GPS Cryptography within systems, software, security, or embedded engineering environments.
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in Legacy Military GPS Cryptography.
  • 10+ years of experience developing software using C and C++ in embedded systems environments.
  • Deep technical expertise supporting MGUE (Modernized GPS User Equipment) development programs.
  • 5+ years of demonstrated success influencing and guiding FSET review activities toward positive outcomes.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting TV and SDS analysis.
  • Active U.S. Department of Defense Secret Security Clearance or higher, with the ability to maintain eligibility for access to classified information.
Preferred Qualifications
Candidates with experience supporting military GPS programs within the following organizations will be highly regarded:
  • U.S. Air Force GPS Directorate
  • U.S. Space Force organizations
  • Space Systems Command (SSC)
  • Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) programs
  • Modernized GPS User Equipment (MGUE) development programs
  • Defense contractors supporting military GPS and cryptographic system development
Education
  • Bachelor's degree and 9+ years of related experience; or
  • Master's degree and 7+ years of related experience; or
  • In lieu of a degree, 13+ years of directly related experience.
