Justification: We need a Government Subcontracts position to assist in Contracts and Subcontracts Management for the KTTS entity in anticipation of winning the MEG proposal. If we do not backfill this position, the current staff supporting the BU would not have bandwidth to cover and would be unable to meet workload requirements for the KTTS Entity Subcontracts efforts.

Requirements:

  • 5 - 7 years minimum Government Contract or related experience
  • Contract Administration Experience to include SBIR phase III

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • SharePoint experience
  • Costpoint experience
  • TS/SCI Security Clearance

The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, and skills. Kratos has an exciting opportunity for a Government Subcontracts Manager in beautiful, Colorado Springs, CO. Serving as the point of contact for all assigned procurement matters during all phases of requisition and purchase order formation and administration to include legal requirements, terms, customer specifications, and government regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for management and administration of purchase orders and ensuring compliance with corporate policies and procedures as well as FAR and DFAR (and other) applicable laws and regulations.
  • Evaluating purchase orders for conformance with company policies, practices, and standards to meet business objectives and to ensure compliance with customer specifications and government regulations.
  • Reviewing and negotiating terms and conditions, quotes, modifications, and other types of agreements.
  • Providing active, creative, and business oriented solutions as part of reviewing quotes, statement of works, schedules, and deliverables.
  • Reviewing and analyzing Purchase Requests for thoroughness and compliancy.
  • Processing PRs, purchase change orders, and RFQs to suppliers.
  • Responsible for procurement business system data input and integrity.
  • Participating in vendor review and processing and utilizing different systems to ensure proper checks and balances have been initiated before onboarding of a vendor.
  • Developing new supply sources where vendors and suppliers are no longer competitive.
  • Interacting closely with suppliers and QA to resolve quality issues.
  • Work with management to address all aspects of procurement support and product availability.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding contract obligations and revisions.
  • Review contractual documents to ensure adherence to company policy, government specifications and requirements, and conformance to master agreements.
  • Developing professional expertise, applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues.
  • Work problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors.
  • Exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
  • Build productive internal/external working relationships.
  • Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new projects or assignments.
  • Other job duties as assigned.
