- Minimum five years of government purchasing experience, preferably in a government agency procurement role (not strictly contracts).
- Proficiency in requisitions, purchase orders, vouchers, and government pCard (credit card) procedures; proper coding and classification required.
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to maintain accurate electronic records.
- Skilled in identifying discrepancies, following established procedures, and understanding purchasing workflows.
- Comfortable working in an ERP system and highly proficient in Excel.
- Experience with high-volume data entry, transaction processing, record maintenance, issuing purchase orders, processing invoices (AP functions), and monthly credit card reconciliation.
- Familiarity with NASPO/Cooperative agreements is a plus.
- Ability to work independently, research ambiguous or incomplete information, use sound judgment, ask relevant questions, and keep processes moving forward without excessive supervision.
