Description

This dynamic role offers an outstanding opportunity for a professional skilled in the management of government-appointed assets, with options to be based in either Reston, VA or Cambridge, MA. Fully reimbursed relocation packages are available for the right candidate. The position features a 9/80 work schedule with flexible hybrid arrangements.

The primary focus is to supervise and streamline the operation of Government Furnished Property (GFP), Contractor Acquired Property (CAP), and organizational equipment. A successful candidate will oversee government property management staff while ensuring full compliance with federal regulations and internal policies across all facilities.

The leader in this position plays a crucial role in evaluating government contracts and proposals, fostering a cohesive framework for managing government assets, and ensuring that all contractual obligations related to GFP are thoroughly understood and implemented.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the activities within the Property Office to guarantee adherence to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) throughout the property lifecycle.
- Manage and train a team of property professionals, setting clear objectives and providing performance-related feedback.
- Assist in recruitment and evaluations, ensuring the team has the necessary skills and resources.
- Foster collaboration across supply chain operations and provide support to the Shipping/Receiving Manager.
- Regularly conduct self-assessments and prepare for property audits to secure compliance.
- Develop and conduct department-wide training programs to enhance all levels of property services.
- Assist internal departments, external clients, and subcontractors about government property procedures.
- Stay informed of changes in FAR/DFARS regulations and adjust policies as needed.
- Monitor the integrity of property data management to ensure precise reporting.
- Oversee the process of reutilization, storage, and disposal of government and company assets.

Skills and Qualifications:
- A background in IT/IS is beneficial.
- Familiarity with the Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE) and IUID Registry is preferred.
- Proficient knowledge in FAR 52.245-1, FAR Part 45, DFARS regulations.
- Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills are essential.
- Demonstrated capacity to lead teams and manage complex contracts effectively.
- Bachelor’s degree necessary, with professional property management certifications (CPPA, NPMA) as a plus.
- At least eight years related experience in government property management, with a minimum of two years in a leadership role.
