    Position Summary

    This position is responsible for primarily assisting members and guests with retail selections in our Golf/Lifestyle Shop while also assisting with fundamental golf operations. The ideal candidate will have a familiarity with the game of golf and a true passion for providing a high level of personalized customer service to build ongoing relationships with our members and guests.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Promote retail sales by providing excellent customer service
    • Assess member and guest needs and provide assistance and information with special order requests, product information, price, etc.
    • Track and maintain data on member preferences for future purchases
    • Track and provide timely updates to members and guests with special request items, anticipated delivery dates, etc.
    • Ensure the shop is maintained in a neat and orderly manner. Stock shelves, counters, and tables with merchandise in a visually pleasing manner to promote sales.
    • Maintain proper and accurate record of daily sales, and communicate merchandise re-order/special requests to the manager as applicable
    • Follow opening and closing duties specifically as outlined, and ensure the shop is in "ready" mode for the next business day
    • Other duties as assigned

    Education & Experience

    High school graduate or GED equivalent required; College preferred. 2-3 years of experience in the customer service industry is required.

    Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

    Able to interact successfully with a variety of people in person and on the telephone. Excellent oral communication skills as well as understanding written communication in work-related documents. Must be confident of skills and have the ability to make sound, independent decisions when appropriate; have the willingness to adjust to and conform to varying schedules; have excellent communication skills; and be able to get along well with others.

    Work Environment & Physical Demands

    Must be able to stand for extended periods of time while monitoring the sales floor and assisting customers, and have good communication skills (i.e., communicate clearly and effectively in both written and spoken English). Must be able to lift and move materials weighing up to 75 pounds - maintaining the sales floor requires stooping as well as carrying and/or lifting materials. Must be able to indoors in a temperature-controlled setting. Must be able to work closely with the public. Must be able to see and work with other employees and work in open areas.
