Golf Course Maintenance

Harbour Pointe Golf Club, located in New Bern, NC is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a dedicated, part-time Golf Course Maintenance Associate! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. General Purpose:

Performs a diverse range of activities involved in golf course maintenance and construction. Performs golf course maintenance work and related tasks as required.

Schedule:

• Daily schedule: 6:00 AM - 11:00 AM
• Alternating weekends required

Primary Responsibilities:

• The main responsibility of this role is the daily setup of the golf course, including:

• Changing pin locations

• Adjusting tee locations

• Emptying trash receptacles

• Blowing debris off greens

• Monitoring and maintaining traffic control areas

• Adjusting signs and ropes as needed

• Ensures the course is in excellent condition for players each day

Education/Experience:

• Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Physical Demands:

• Regularly stands, walks, sits, and uses hands, reaches with hands and arms

• Occasionally climbs or balances; stoops, kneels, crawls or crouches

• Regularly talks or hears

• Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds; up to 50 pounds with assistance

Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences:

• Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the associates may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English)

Working Conditions:

• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, twisting, and operating small gas‑powered equipment

• Comfort working outdoors in various weather conditions

• Strong work ethic, dependability, and attention to detail
