We have an exciting opportunity for a GN&C Engineer to join the team with Astrion, a teammate company.
QUALIFICATION / SKILLS

Typically requires a bachelor's degree in Engineering with experience in the field or in a related area.
Significant knowledge of GN&C
Experience with development and analysis of 6 DOF algorithms and simulations
Proficiency with C/C++ and Python
Familiarity with validation and verification of GN&C algorithms and requirements
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment consisting of NASA civil servants and various contractor employees
DESIRED QUALIFICATION / SKILLS
Master’s degree in engineering and 3 years or more of experience in the field or in a related area; or a PhD. in engineering or in a related field
Significant experience with C, C++, and Python
Significant experience with MATLAB including Simulink, Stateflow, and Autocode
Safety and flight-critical embedded software development
Experience with source code control and continuous integration
Agile software development
Experience in the following flight software specialty areas:
GN&C software development
Software process and procedure development
Software Integration and Build Management
Experience with Kalman filters, Neural Networks, UDU factorization and/or advanced smoothers
Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and/or Machine Learning
Experience with TRICK/JEOD simulation architecture
Develop and evaluate safety-critical flight software
Develop, integrate, and test GN&C algorithms
Utilize MATLAB/Simulink/Autocode skills to update GN&C Flight Software
Utilize Python & C/C++ skills to analyze and test GN&C Flight Software
Validate and Verify GN&C algorithms and requirements
Provide recommendations for improvements of flight software, its processes and procedures
Perform deep-dive analyses of flight and simulation software
Perform other duties as required
