Description

Position Requirements:

Perform duties to operate automatic bonding equipment, monitor machine for proper operation, and adjust as necessary to maintain part quality standards. Bonding Operators will be required to operate different machinery or equipment based upon department assignment.

Working from control plans, operator instructions, troubleshooting guides, Win SPC Quality Plan, logs, checklists, setup procedures, packing procedures, inspection procedures, and instructions:

  • Setup equipment and perform setup validation checklist.
  • Check machine for proper settings (temperature, pressure, cycle time); adjust as necessary.
  • Operate machines, load parts into machine, and check first run sample parts for defects.
  • Monitor machine for proper operation and adjust as necessary to ensure part meets established quality standards.
  • React to alarms. Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions as indicated on control panel, clear jams, reset misfeeds and clear faults to continue proper equipment operation.
  • Replace defective or warn equipment components as required, such as polishing discs, solutions, filters, etc.
  • Perform SPC processes as required.
  • Visually inspect parts as specified and log data as required.
  • Change over machine and make required machine adjustments to process different parts.
  • Prepare production and scrap reports.
  • Pack parts as specified and place in box or tote; create and attach proper label or shipping paperwork.
  • Move material to and from staging area or shipping dock.
  • Maintain cleanliness of equipment and area by performing daily housekeeping tasks.
  • Notify supervisor, engineering and/or maintenance department of unusual part or equipment problems.

Use personal computer, test fixtures, fixed gauges, surface finish, calculator, thickness gauge, forklift truck, hand truck, data entry terminal (WINSPC), and hand tools.

Follow safety rules and keep work area in clean and orderly condition.

Act and perform duties in a manner that is conducive to a professional, productive and team-oriented environment.

Exposure to noise and fumes. Light physical effort required, which is equivalent to constantly lifting or moving light weight material between 5# and 25#.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Pay Range: $19.63 - $28.40

Internal Candidates: Eligibility to Bid

  • Employees with less than one year of service are only eligible to bid on higher paying labor grade positions.
  • Employees with more than one year of service will receive first consideration.
  • Employees in Disciplinary Step 1 are eligible to bid on any job.
  • Employees in Step 2 are eligible to bid on any job after 1 year.
  • Employees in Step 3 are eligible to bid on any job after 1 year.
  • If an employee accepts a new position, they cannot bid on the same or lower paying labor grade for 1 year.
  • If you were previously forced out of this job classification and are interested in returning to the position, you must complete a job bidding form.
  • This Position requires that you be able to Read and Write English.

Internal Candidates: Eligibility to Interview

  • Applicants must meet all criteria in the job bidding process
  • Employees who have been interviewed within 6 months for the SAME exact position may not be re-interview.
