    Description

    We are seeking a highly skilled, hands-on Robotics Engineer with a minimum of 4 years of technical experience and advanced certifications. This position involves setup, programming, troubleshooting, and support of industrial robotics systems, with an emphasis on GM GRS-certified environments. The ideal candidate will demonstrate advanced proficiency in programming, fieldbus communication, industrial electronics, joining processes, and project leadership.

    Required Certifications:

    • GM GRS Certification (mandatory)

    • Fanuc DCS Safety Certification (mandatory)


    Position Requirements:

    • Minimum of 4 years of hands-on robotics experience

    • Strong background in:

      • Robot programming and OLP (Offline Programming)

      • Fieldbus protocols (DeviceNet, Ethernet/IP, Profinet)

      • PLC communication setup

      • Robot mastering, TCP verification, and payload setup

      • Cycle time optimization and throughput improvement

      • I/O configuration and robot zone setup

      • Robot dress pack adjustment


    Preferred Experience:

    • Material handling and joining processes, including:

      • Spot welding

      • Sealing/dispensing

      • Stud welding

      • MIG welding

      • Riveting, clinch guns, and flow drill applications

    • Pedestal applications and integration

    • Vision systems experience is a plus


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Load, adjust, and optimize offline robot programs

    • Debug automation systems and troubleshoot issues with PLC interfaces

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve production efficiency

    • Support and mentor junior robot programmers

    • Accurately track and report time, expenses, and job documentation

    • Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and professionalism on-site


    Work Conditions:

    • Must be self-motivated and capable of working independently or in a team

    • Requires flexibility to work overtime, including days/nights, weekends, and holidays

    • Must be able to travel extensively depending on project requirements

    • Requires reliable transportation

    • Ability to lift at least 25 lbs, stand for extended periods, climb ladders, and move around tooling as needed

    • Any physical restrictions must be communicated prior to onboarding for accommodation considerations


    Administrative & Technical Skills:

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications

    • Must complete all billing, expense, and timesheet documentation in a timely and accurate manner

    • Adherence to all company and customer policies and procedures
