Description

Global Trade & Customs Compliance Specialist

Duration: 6 - 12 months (Fully Remote)

Work Authorization: US Person required due to ITAR restrictions

Payrate: $29-$36

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Global Trade & Customs Compliance Specialist to support day-to-day U.S. customs and import compliance activities. This role will focus on reviewing customs-related transactions, analyzing trade data, identifying potential compliance issues, and supporting the Global Trade team with ongoing operational requirements.

The ideal candidate combines strong Excel and data analysis skills with practical knowledge of U.S. Customs, import compliance, customs brokerage, or global trade operations. This position is well suited for someone who is comfortable working with large volumes of transactional data and can identify discrepancies, trends, and items requiring further review.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily triage and review of customs and import-related transactions for accuracy, completeness, and potential compliance concerns.

  • Analyze and manipulate large datasets in Microsoft Excel to support customs compliance and global trade activities.

  • Review transactional data to identify discrepancies, exceptions, trends, or potential compliance risks.

  • Escalate transactions or issues requiring additional research or review by Global Trade or Compliance leadership.

  • Support day-to-day U.S. customs and import compliance operations.

  • Assist with tracking, organizing, and maintaining customs-related documentation and data.

  • Support research and resolution of customs transaction discrepancies and operational issues.

  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders as needed to obtain information and resolve customs-related questions.

  • Maintain accurate records and support reporting requirements associated with global trade and customs activities.

  • Assist with additional trade compliance projects, data reviews, and operational activities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including experience analyzing, organizing, filtering, and manipulating large datasets.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify discrepancies and potential issues within transactional data.

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and recurring transactional reviews.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently while appropriately escalating issues requiring additional review.

  • Previous experience in U.S. Customs, import compliance, customs brokerage, international trade, or global trade operations is strongly preferred.

  • Practical experience reviewing customs or import transactions is highly desirable and will enable candidates to contribute quickly in the role.
