Position Summary: Global Trade Principal Specialist - Americas Customs
- Supports and performs import tactical operations while helping ensure compliance with international trade policies.
- Plays a key role in establishing and maintaining company import processes.
- May take leadership roles within the Customs discipline across the SBU, Collins Aerospace, and RTX cross-company initiatives.
Responsibilities: Global Trade Principal Specialist - Americas Customs
- Lead daily tactical import entry processes and import initiatives across Interiors Collins Aerospace sites.
- Ensure Customs compliance and manage U.S. Customs inquiries and data requests.
- Collect and analyze import data for monthly dashboard metrics.
- Perform import declaration audits.
- Oversee refund tracking and update tools to optimize duty recovery.
- Assist the Import Team and Import Manager with projects, tactical and strategic activities, duty mitigation, and other import-related activities.
- Remain current on global trade geopolitical events, including Section Tariffs and Anti-dumping & Countervailing Duties.
Required Qualifications: Global Trade Principal Specialist - Americas Customs
- Bachelors degree in an appropriate discipline and 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree and 3 years of relevant experience.
- In lieu of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience.
- Ability to learn and utilize application tools such as SAP/GTS, SharePoint, Office 365, Smartsheet, Access, and web-based tools.
- Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident ("Green Card" holder).

- Licensed Customs Broker.

- Project management experience.

- Ability to evaluate enterprise-level needs and identify innovative opportunities to achieve goals.
- Experience with Collins/RTX trade compliance processes and systems, including GTS, OCR, MKDenial, xClass, and TEXPORT.
