    POSITION OVERVIEW
    As a Global Trade Compliance Manager Commercial Aircraft Groupyour roles and responsibilities will include:
    The client is seeking a Global Trade Compliance Manager to support its Commercial Aircraft Group (CAG). This person will serve as a key trade compliance partner to the business, helping develop trade strategies and solutions while ensuring compliance with U.S. and international trade regulations.
    The role works closely with Business Development, Supply Chain, Contracts, Engineering, Finance, and senior leadership and requires someone who can provide practical trade-compliance guidance during business opportunities.
    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide trade compliance guidance during business development and defense strategy meetings.
    • Develop trade compliance strategies for domestic and international business opportunities.
    • Research trade requirements for conducting business in foreign countries.
    • Guide the business on trade regulations when entering new locations.
    • Manage and prioritize high-volume trade compliance requirements.
    • Obtain and facilitate required trade authorizations and licenses.
    • Perform and document commodity and technology classifications.
    • Prepare complex U.S. government license applications and authorizations.
    • Develop and implement Technology Control Plans (TCPs).
    • Support investigations, acquisitions, divestitures, and other trade compliance projects.
    • Develop metrics, processes, and automation to improve trade compliance activities.
    • Partner with global stakeholders across different cultures and time zones.
    • Apply trade compliance requirements within a commercial aerospace manufacturing environment.
    QUALIFICATIONS
    Most importantly, you need to be a passionate Global Trade Compliance Manager who enjoys his work and is considered to be one of the best within your organization. The ideal Global Trade Compliance Manager would be someone with deep experience in many (if not all) of the following:
    Required Qualifications
    • Bachelor s degree, typically in business, international business, engineering, or a related field.
    • 7+ years of direct import/export trade compliance experience.
    • 3+ years of program/project management experience.
    • Strong knowledge of U.S. trade regulations, including:
      • ITAR
      • EAR
      • OFAC
      • ATF
    • Experience with export/import classifications and licensing.
    • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
    • Ability to train and educate business teams on trade compliance.
    • Strong documentation and follow-through skills.
    • Ability to work independently, research unfamiliar regulations, and develop solutions.
    • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
    • Must live locally in the Buffalo, NY area or be willing to relocate.
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Aerospace, aviation, defense, or manufacturing experience.
    • International trade compliance experience.
    • Experience with SAP/GTS, OCR EASE, SNAP-R, DECCS, and ATF electronic submissions.
    • Experience with MS Project/Planner, Jira/Azure DevOps, Excel, Power BI, or Tableau.
    • PMP, PMI-ACP, or other trade compliance certifications.
    • Advanced degree in International Business, Global Business, Trade, or related field.
