    The Impact You'll Make

As a Data Scientist - Demand Planning Analytics, you will help shape smarter supply chain decisions by transforming data into actionable insights that improve forecast accuracy, identify emerging demand shifts, and strengthen customer delivery performance. Your work will directly support informed planning and decision-making across a rapidly growing business.

You will develop analytics, forecasting models, and demand insights that help the organization anticipate risk earlier, reduce uncertainty, and respond more effectively to changing customer needs. By improving visibility into order patterns and demand signals, you will help teams make confident decisions that balance customer expectations and operational realities.

Success in this role requires strong analytical thinking, collaboration, and the ability to translate complex findings into meaningful business actions. You will work across functions, lead through influence, embrace continuous improvement, and demonstrate the Danfoss behaviors while fostering an inclusive environment where diverse perspectives contribute to better outcomes.

    What You'll Be Doing

    • Develop demand forecasting models and analytical methods/tools that improve forecast accuracy, bias visibility, and exception management.

    • Analyze customer order book quality, order changes, cancellations, pull-ins, pushouts, abnormal demand signals, and forecast volatility.

    • Build demand-risk dashboards, alerts, and scenario views to support SIOP, S&OE, and customer escalation discussions.

    • Partner with the SIOP & S&OE / Demand Planning Leader to translate model outputs into practical planning actions.

    • Support segmentation logic by product family, line of business, customer, region, volume, volatility, and service impact.

    • Collaborate with IT/data teams to define source-data requirements, governed datasets, data quality checks, and refresh logic.

    • Validate model performance, document assumptions, monitor drift, and improve model reliability over time.

    • Convert complex analytical findings into clear explanations for planners, materials managers, OFRs, and leadership.

    • Support process improvements that reduce manual reporting, improve decision speed, and strengthen demand planning standard work.

    • Maintain documentation for models, metrics, data definitions, and user guidance.

    What We're Looking For

    • Experience developing forecasting, statistical, machine learning, or business analytics solutions that drive operational decision-making.

    • Strong skills in data analysis, data modeling, visualization, and communicating complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

    • Proficiency with analytics and data tools such as Python, SQL, Power BI, or similar platforms used to generate business insights.

    • Understanding of demand planning, forecasting, supply chain operations, or related business processes where analytics support planning decisions.

    • Demonstrated ability to influence across teams, solve problems collaboratively, and embody the Danfoss behaviors through inclusive leadership and continuous improvement.

    What You'll Get from Us

    • The opportunity to influence strategic supply chain decisions through advanced analytics and data-driven insights.

    • Exposure to cross-functional and global stakeholders, enabling you to expand both your business and technical expertise.

    • A collaborative and inclusive environment where innovation, curiosity, and diverse perspectives are encouraged.

    • Opportunities for professional development through complex analytical challenges, continuous learning, and global career growth.

    • The chance to help build more resilient, responsive, and customer-focused supply chain capabilities through data and technology.

    • Competitive annual base salary ranging from USD 95,000 to USD 149,000 , based on experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the role.
