POSITION OVERVIEW
Global Security, Risk & Resilience Coordinator I supports a safe, secure, and service-focused store environment by executing established GSRR routines. The role detects and deters theft and policy violations, monitors safety and security systems, completes assigned audits and reports, and partners with store teams to build awareness. The coordinator works within defined procedures and escalates investigations, exceptions, and elevated risk to GSRR leadership.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Promote and follow RL policies, RL Code of Conduct, safety procedures, and all applicable legal and licensing requirements.
- Conduct floor surveillance and monitor CCTV and other approved security systems to identify theft, fraud, safety, or physical security concerns.
- Deter and respond to external theft activity in accordance with Company guidelines and authorized apprehension standards.
- Support internal investigations only at the direction of the GSRR Manager, Supervisor, or Regional GSRR Lead.
- Complete assigned operational, safety, inventory control, cash handling, and physical security audits accurately and on time.
- Complete incident, apprehension, and audit documentation accurately, professionally, and within required timelines.
- Assist with physical inventory preparation, execution, and reconciliation as assigned.
- Support shrink awareness, store orientation, and training using approved materials and direction from GSRR leadership.
- Maintain professional working relationships with Store Management, associates, mall security, and local law enforcement.
- Identify risk trends or repeat deficiencies and promptly escalate them to GSRR leadership.
- Perform other duties consistent with the role as assigned.
Role Authority and Escalation
- Executes established GSRR procedures and assigned work; does not independently set the store GSRR strategy or close significant investigations.
- Escalates suspected internal misconduct, organized or repeat theft, high-risk incidents, material audit exceptions, and unresolved safety or security concerns.
- May provide peer guidance or task support but does not carry formal people-management accountability
Performance Expectations
- Quality and timeliness of incident and audit documentation.
- Consistent execution of surveillance, safety, access control, and inventory routines.
- Adherence to policy, confidentiality, and escalation requirements.
- Positive partnership with store teams and effective delivery of assigned awareness activities.
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, security, or customer-facing experience preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to preserve confidentiality.
- Working knowledge of CCTV or security systems preferred.
- Ability to make sound decisions within established procedures and in time-sensitive situations.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends, holidays, peak periods and urgent response outside traditional business hours.
- Ability to satisfy applicable state or local licensing requirements.
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role, including extended standing and walking and lifting or moving 20 pounds or more as needed.
