Job Responsibilities:

 

Position Summary

The GSOC Manager is responsible for leading the operational integrity of a 24/7 Global Security Operations Center for a global semiconductor company. This individual oversees both physical security and cybersecurity operations, ensuring global site integrity, incident readiness, and effective threat response.

The GSOC Manager serves as the primary escalation point for high-severity incidents, manages a team of security analysts, coordinates response efforts across internal teams and external partners, and maintains SOPs for incident response and escalation. This role requires hands-on leadership, strong operational judgment, and the ability to manage complex incidents in a fast-paced environment. The position is hybrid in Santa Clara and is a 1-year contract with strong potential to convert.


 

Essential Job Functions

GSOC Leadership & Security Operations

  • Oversee all aspects of GSOC operations in a 24/7 environment
  • Lead, mentor, and develop GSOC analysts/operators across shifts
  • Enforce security policies, procedures, and escalation protocols
  • Act as the senior-level escalation point for security incidents

Incident Response & Escalation

  • Manage end-to-end response for high-severity physical and cyber incidents
  • Coordinate with IT, Cybersecurity, Facilities, Legal, and external agencies
  • Drive incident escalation, executive communications, and crisis response
  • Conduct post-incident reviews and continuous improvement efforts

Threat Monitoring & Intelligence

  • Monitor global threats impacting employees, facilities, and assets
  • Oversee security tools including video surveillance, access control, and threat monitoring systems
  • Integrate threat intelligence and situational awareness into daily operations

Vendor & Systems Management

  • Manage relationships with security vendors including Lenel and Verkada
  • Ensure operational health of access control, surveillance, and monitoring platforms
  • Partner with stakeholders on system enhancements and future improvements


 Requirements:

 

Qualifications

Education:

  • 7–10+ years of experience in GSOC, command center, or security operations
  • Prior experience managing incident response and escalation
  • Background supporting both physical security and cybersecurity operations
  • Experience developing and maintaining SOPs and escalation protocols
  • Vendor management experience (Lenel, Verkada required)


 

Skills and Abilities

  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills in high-pressure environments
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities
  • Self-starter able to operate independently with minimal supervision
  • Experience with GSOC tools such as VMS, access control systems, and threat intelligence platforms

Preferred (Not Required – Nice to Have)

  • Experience with GSOC tools including:
    • Video Management Systems (VMS)
    • Access control platforms
    • GIS mapping
    • Mass notification systems
    • Threat intelligence platforms
  • Experience recruiting, training, and developing GSOC staff
  • Experience integrating open-source intelligence (OSINT)
