Reporting to the Global Royalties Finance Manager, this individual contributor will help ensure that product and content initiatives are executed in a controlled, compliant, and financially responsible manner. The role involves analyzing financial and operational data, identifying anomalies and control gaps, assessing financial impact, documenting requirements, and developing risk-aware solutions. The successful candidate will think end-to-end across interconnected systems and processes while communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. This is an opportunity to build deep business knowledge, strengthen financial governance, resolve complex issues, and contribute to scalable improvements across a collaborative and evolving finance organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify financial control gaps, assess risk exposure and potential P&L impact, and drive timely remediation.
- Perform detailed financial data analysis to detect anomalies and reinforce governance standards.
- Apply established internal control frameworks to routine control and compliance matters.
- Test commercial products and workflows to validate business logic, content behavior, pricing configurations, and impacts on royalty processes.
- Develop, document, and improve financial policies, standard operating procedures, and end-to-end process flows.
- Communicate standard business requirements to cross-functional stakeholders.
- Analyze financial impacts and recommend risk-aware, operationally sound solutions.
- Support process improvements involving product, technology, content, and commercial teams.
- Use AI and large language model tools responsibly to improve efficiency, insights, communication, and cycle times while maintaining accuracy, privacy, and accountability.
- Participate in ad hoc projects and other activities as reasonably required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
- At least three years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience in operational controls, financial analysis, compliance, or process management.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial reasoning skills.
- Ability to analyze structured datasets, identify trends and variances, and communicate actionable insights.
- Experience using Excel, including pivot tables and data validation techniques.
- Basic SQL knowledge is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, governance, accountability, and operational integrity.
- Ability to identify risks, process gaps, and control issues and take appropriate corrective action.
- Effective communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work with moderate guidance while developing deeper subject-matter expertise.
