This role serves as the technical leader for paint and coating processes across multiple manufacturing facilities. You'll work closely with engineering, operations, maintenance, quality, and suppliers to improve existing systems, establish standards, and help guide major equipment investments, including an upcoming paint-shop modernization project.

It's an opportunity for someone who understands industrial paint technology firsthand and is ready to make an impact beyond a single production line or facility.

    What You'll Do

    • Lead improvements to industrial paint and coating systems, including E-coat, powder coating, pretreatment, application, and curing processes.
    • Support paint-line installations, equipment upgrades, commissioning, and major manufacturing projects.
    • Establish consistent paint-process standards and best practices across manufacturing facilities.
    • Troubleshoot complex coating, equipment, and process issues, identifying root causes and lasting solutions.
    • Partner with engineering, operations, maintenance, quality, and suppliers to improve performance, reliability, and cost.
    • Evaluate new paint technologies, equipment, and supplier solutions while supporting preventative maintenance strategies.
    • Ensure paint operations meet applicable environmental, health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
    • Provide technical guidance and influence decisions across multiple manufacturing locations.

    What You'll Bring

    • Significant hands-on experience with industrial paint and coating systems in a manufacturing environment.
    • Knowledge of E-coat, powder coating, pretreatment, application processes, and curing technologies.
    • Experience with paint-system installations, commissioning, equipment upgrades, or meaningful process improvements.
    • Strong technical troubleshooting skills and experience solving complex manufacturing and coating-quality problems.
    • Ability to work across manufacturing, engineering, maintenance, quality, and external suppliers.
    • Understanding of industrial paint-process standards, environmental requirements, and safety regulations.
    • A bachelor's degree and eight or more years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience in automotive, heavy equipment, commercial vehicles, industrial machinery, or other complex manufacturing environments is preferred. Multi-site technical leadership and major capital project experience are also valuable.

We welcome experienced Senior or Principal Engineers who have the technical depth and interest to step into a broader leadership role.

U.S. Person Requirement: This position requires access to controlled goods and technologies subject to U.S. export control regulations. Applicants must qualify as a U.S. Person under applicable regulations, generally including U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, individuals admitted as refugees, or individuals granted asylum.

    Why You'll Love Working Here

You'll have the opportunity to become a trusted technical resource for a global manufacturing organization while helping shape significant investments in its paint and coating operations. Your expertise will influence decisions across multiple facilities, and your work will directly impact manufacturing quality, efficiency, and reliability.

If you enjoy getting into the technical details, solving challenging manufacturing problems, and helping organizations improve how things work, we'd welcome the opportunity to connect.
