Job Overview:

Are you a transformational operations leader who thrives on creating lasting business impact? Ingersoll Rand is seeking a Global Leader of Lean Transformation to lead and accelerate Operational Excellence initiatives across our global manufacturing network. Reporting directly to the Global Director of Operations, this highly visible leadership role will define and execute the organization's Lean transformation strategy, partnering with business leaders, plant managers, supply chain teams, and functional stakeholders worldwide. You will champion a culture of continuous improvement, employee engagement, and operational discipline while building the systems, capabilities, and leadership behaviors required to drive sustainable performance improvements. This is a unique opportunity to shape enterprise-wide strategy, influence senior leadership, and deliver measurable business results through Lean principles, cultural transformation, and Operational Excellence deployment across multiple manufacturing facilities globally.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute the global Lean Transformation roadmap aligned with business objectives, strategic priorities, and long-term growth initiatives.
• Establish and standardize Operational Excellence systems across manufacturing facilities, including Daily Management, Tier Accountability, Leader Standard Work, Visual Management, Problem Solving, and Continuous Improvement processes.
• Lead Value Stream Mapping initiatives and Kaizen events to improve flow, eliminate waste, enhance customer service, and increase profitability.
• Drive business-wide adoption of Lean methodologies including 6S, SMED, Standard Work, Centerlining, Kanban, TPM, Visual Factory, Root Cause Analysis, and Kaizen.
• Create governance frameworks, performance metrics, maturity assessments, and sustainability mechanisms to ensure long-term success of transformation initiatives.
• Partner with site leadership to improve key operational metrics including Safety, TRIR, First Pass Yield, On-Time Delivery, Inventory Turns, Productivity, Scrap Reduction, Capacity Utilization, and Cost Performance.
• Facilitate strategic improvement workshops focused on lead-time reduction, inventory optimization, capacity enhancement, productivity gains, and operational efficiency.
• Design and deploy Lean training programs, certification pathways, and capability-building initiatives to develop future Operational Excellence leaders.
• Coach and mentor plant managers, operations leaders, and continuous improvement professionals on Lean leadership principles and behaviors.
• Lead turnaround and recovery efforts at underperforming sites by implementing structured improvement plans and sustainable operational practices.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, Finance, Customer Service, EHS, and Operations teams to drive enterprise improvements.
• Benchmark industry best practices and identify opportunities to continuously elevate Operational Excellence standards.
• Leverage data analytics and operational metrics to identify opportunities, prioritize initiatives, and measure business impact.
• Support strategic planning activities by identifying transformational opportunities that improve profitability, scalability, customer satisfaction, and competitive advantage.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification required; Master Black Belt strongly preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, continuous improvement, or Operational Excellence leadership.
• Demonstrated success implementing Lean Operating Systems across complex, multi-site manufacturing environments.
• Deep expertise in Value Stream Mapping, Flow Manufacturing, Daily Management Systems, TPM, Kaizen Leadership, and Lean Culture Development.
• Proven ability to lead organizational change and influence stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership.
• Experience developing and deploying enterprise-wide Operational Excellence strategies and transformation roadmaps.
• Strong project management, facilitation, coaching, and executive communication skills.
• Experience utilizing ERP systems such as SAP and manufacturing analytics tools.
• Ability to travel globally up to 25%.

Preferences:

• Master's degree in Engineering, Operations, Business Administration, or related discipline.
• Master Black Belt certification.
• Experience leading global Lean transformation initiatives within industrial manufacturing environments.
• Track record of successfully driving large-scale cultural and operational transformations.
• Experience working across multiple regions and global manufacturing networks.

Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements:

• Flexible work arrangement with frequent engagement across global manufacturing locations.
• Approximately 25% global travel required to support transformation initiatives, leadership coaching, and operational improvement events.
• Travel includes manufacturing facilities, leadership meetings, strategic workshops, and Operational Excellence assessments.
