Pegasystems is seeking a visionary yet pragmatic leader to drive Pega's business strategy and growth for the Communications industry. This key member of the Industry Market leadership team will sit at the critical intersection of strategy and execution, translating deep Communications expertise into tangible business results. This leader will shape our go-to-market strategy by defining how and where to position Pega to Communications organizations, including understanding how Pega can add value to legacy CRM, ERP/SAP, network management, billing, and supply chain solutions to drive legacy transformation, develop messaging to ensure relevancy in our sales execution and go-to-market motions, and guide our sales teams on where they should focus to drive further growth of our business in these industries. Additionally, this leader will serve as an exemplar of GenAI adoption, both in their personal work practices and as an industry expert on how Communications organizations can leverage GenAI and emerging technology to drive efficiencies and gain competitive advantage. They will work with sales and marketing leaders in the development of go to market plans and support them when engaging with business and functional leaders at Communications organizations. The success of this leader will be determined primarily by measurable growth of Pega ACV in the Communications industry.

What You'll Do at Pega:

  • Drive industry strategy and thought leadership for Pega in the Communications industry, developing compelling visions of where our technology delivers maximum value and competitive advantage
  • Develop compelling industry messaging that ensures Pega's value proposition resonates with Communications organizations through relevant use cases and language
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leadership teams across Sales, Marketing, Product, and Strategy to develop winning go-to-market plans that accelerate pipeline growth
  • Curate and deliver powerful industry insights that equip our sales teams with the insights, case studies, and value propositions needed to position Pega successfully within target organizations to build and accelerate pipeline
  • Identify legacy transformation opportunities in Communications, developing compelling points of view on modernizing legacy systems, including ERP/SAP, CRM, network management, billing, and supply chain systems
  • Create innovative approaches to showcase Pega's unique differentiators in the Communications industry, defining and documenting key functional areas where our solutions deliver exceptional value
  • Represent Pega at key industry events, with analyst firms, trade press, and alliance partners
  • Bring industry gravitas and credibility to critical client interactions, executive presentations, and business development activities that drive growth
  • Partner with product teams to incorporate Communications industry best practices into key Pega capabilities, including Pega GenAI Blueprint
  • Support alliance partner initiatives through joint go-to-market activities, solution development, and content creation that expands our reach
  • Champion GenAI adoption across the Communications industry, serving as both a practical exemplar and strategic advisor

Who You Are:

You have a relevant degree or degrees and experience leading transformative initiatives in the Communications industry. Leadership and management experience is expected, along with expert understanding of the Communications industry and related markets, in-depth knowledge of the software and technology for a wide variety of service delivery and technology applicable to these industries, and the ability to translate such knowledge into comprehensive strategies and market value for our company, and for our customers. You will have a strong drive to succeed, demonstrate integrity, and be a proven, growing, top-tier thought leader.

What You've Accomplished:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 15+ years of experience within the Communications industry or equivalent experience in selling or consulting to organizations in these industries
  • Expert understanding of the Communications industry and related markets, including software and technology usage within the industry
  • Keen understanding of strategic concerns of the Communications industry, ideally related to operational processes, supply chain management, and digital transformation
  • Strong leadership and executive engagement skills, especially in matrix environments
  • Demonstrated analytical expertise, problem-solving skills, and business judgment
  • Strong knowledge of and/or background in technology and emerging technology
  • Ability to translate business knowledge of the Communications industry into software market value proposition and strategy
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including ability to articulate the benefits and value of technology to customers in the industry, and the ability to garner support from senior stakeholders across an organization

Additional Information

Base salary range for this role is 193,200 - 299,900 USD annually. This role may also be eligible for annual bonus OR commission, as well as benefits and other incentives.

The final compensation will be determined during the offer process based on the candidate's education, experience, skills, and qualifications, as well as market conditions and may vary from the posted range. We will share an information on benefits, bonus/commission, and other pay components for this role at the relevant recruitment stage.
