Job Summary:
The GES Senior Manager is responsible for overseeing a team of professionals to support in assisting clients with managing global payroll liabilities, minimizing compliance risks, and identifying and recovering overpaid global payroll. This position provides review of written global payroll advice to clients, evaluates alternative courses of action to lessen global payroll burden and cost of compliance, and identifies potential changes in global payroll policy and regulations. In this role, the GES Senior Manager will be charged with overseeing key metrics measurements with group performance, developing marketing material, networking and business development within their area of experience and for GES as a whole and specialization and recognizing potential changes in tax policy and applying new policies to tax compliance. In addition, the GES Senior Manager will work with the Core Tax Principals and Directors to provide global payroll expertise to their clients.
Job Duties:
Research
Identifies all situations when research is necessary and reviews staff write up on investigation on identified topics
Analyzes researched facts and the sources utilized
Prepares studies of global payroll implications and outlines alternative courses of action to clients
Partners with other Core Tax and Specialized Tax Services professionals to resolve complex and contentious matters
Tax Compliance
Ensures clients comply with applicable authorities while identifying options for managing client's' global payroll and reporting burdens
Manages engagements to ensure engagement metrics are achieved
Collaborates with Business Development team and other strategic parties to drive global payroll compliance service offerings
Tax Consulting
Oversees staff handling all inquiries from federal and state agencies regarding all global payroll issues and questions
Reviews responses to examiner questions and challenges
Monitors implementations of work plans for global payroll consulting projects
Provides recommended solutions by combining global payroll knowledge and knowledge of business / industry
Tax Controversy
Represents clients before any global payroll authority on contested issues
Responds to all questions from federal or state agencies
Coordinates responses to questions from global taxing authorities
Tax Specialization
Acts as an industry expert in Global Payroll Services
Identifies cross-selling opportunities with other tax specializations
Manages Global Payroll Services provided to assigned clients
Develops tools and/or improvements allowing for the enhancement and efficiency of the Global Payroll Services practice
Strategy Development
Develops new or improved ideas to advance the position of clients, the firm or firm personnel through the management of global payroll
Participates in relevant industry groups
Leads marketing campaigns and external Global Payroll Services initiatives
Reviews payroll related templates and process flows for global use

Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.
National Range: $99,750 - $262,500
NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $99,750 - $262,500
