Position Summary:

The Global Division Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager provides strategic and operational leadership for EHS performance across the EPM Division's global footprint, supporting 11 manufacturing sites in 9 countries. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and sustaining division-wide EHS programs in a chemical manufacturing environment, with a strong focus on regulatory compliance, chemical process safety, management systems, risk reduction, and continuous improvement.

This role leads the design, deployment, and governance of the division's global EHS strategy and management systems. The Global Division EHS Manager ensures that EHS programs are aligned with business priorities, regulatory obligations, and corporate standards while enabling safe, compliant, and efficient operations across a complex international manufacturing network.

The role requires strong technical depth in chemical manufacturing and process safety, the ability to influence leaders across geographies and functions, and the judgment to balance regulatory, operational, and commercial considerations in a fast-paced global environment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead the division's global environmental, health, and safety strategy across all manufacturing locations.

  • Partner with business and site leaders to build and sustain a strong EHS culture aligned with Parker values and operational goals.

  • Ensure compliance with applicable environmental, health, safety, and process safety regulations across multiple countries and jurisdictions.

  • Direct and enhance process safety management programs for a global chemical manufacturing operation.

  • Oversee and improve ISO 14001-related environmental management systems and related division standards.

  • Establish, implement, and monitor EHS policies, procedures, metrics, and best practices across the division.

  • Lead division-wide efforts related to:

  • Risk assessment and hazard identification

  • Incident investigation and root cause analysis

  • Corrective and preventive actions

  • Management of change

  • Contractor EHS management

  • Training and competency development

  • Drive programs focused on sustainability, resource conservation, and environmental performance improvement.

  • Support sites in maintaining readiness for audits, inspections, and regulatory interactions.

  • Analyze EHS trends and performance data to identify priorities and improve outcomes.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, engineering, quality, supply chain, HR, and other business partners to integrate EHS into business processes and decision-making.

  • Coach and influence leaders at all levels to strengthen accountability and execution of EHS strategies.

Required Competencies:

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence change in complex, multicultural environments across multiple countries.
  • Strong capability to develop and execute strategic plans aligned with business objectives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to interpret EHS requirements and translate them into clear, practical business guidance for leaders and employees.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to quickly learn and understand operational needs.
  • Proven skills in standardization, continuous improvement, and program management.
  • Passion for EHS and the ability to turn that commitment into practical, results-driven action.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with experience addressing complex operational challenges.
  • Self-directed and able to work independently in a fast-paced global environment.

Work Experience:

Required:

  • 10+ years of industrial and/or EHS experience, including leadership responsibility in manufacturing environments.
  • Demonstrated experience leading EHS programs in complex industrial operations.
  • Strong working knowledge of environmental, health, and safety regulations and management systems.
  • Experience in chemical manufacturing environments and familiarity with associated operational risks.
  • Proven ability to influence leadership and drive results across multiple sites or regions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical and regulatory requirements into clear business language.

Preferred:

  • Experience in the environmentally hazardous waste management industry.
  • Experience in process safety management programs
  • International Management Experience

Education:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, Science, or a related technical field

Preferred:

  • Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Chemical Toxicology, Industrial Hygiene or other related fields
  • Master's degree in safety sciences, Engineering, Chemistry

Certifications:

Preferred:

  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist or other professional safety certification
