Job DetailsJob Details:
We are seeking a Accountant to join our Accounting and Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a fast-paced, growing organization where you will play a crucial role in managing our general ledger accounting, preparing journal entries, and supporting the month-end close. You will also be responsible for researching discrepancies, driving accuracy, and supporting reporting and financial analysis. This position requires a deep understanding of ledger, balance sheet, GL, intercompany, monthly reporting, financials, and year-end close.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the daily operations of general ledger accounting and reconciliations, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Prepare and post monthly journal entries, including accruals, prepayments, and adjustments.
- Support month-end and year-end close process, including preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Research and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities to ensure accuracy and compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Assist in the preparation of various financial analyses and reports for management review.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure intercompany transactions are properly recorded and reconciled.
- Review and ensure accuracy of balance sheet accounts, and prepare detailed account reconciliations.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness of operations.
- Participate in internal and external audits, providing necessary information and answering auditors' queries.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in general ledger accounting, preferably in the Accounting and Finance industry.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards, and financial reporting.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization.
- Proven experience with ledger, balance sheet, GL, intercompany, monthly reporting, financials, and year-end close.
- CPA certification is a plus.
