Your Role

Akkodis is seeking a GIS Test Lead for a Contract with a client in San Francisco, CA. The ideal candidate must have proven experience validating GIS solutions (ArcGIS/QGIS) and leading end-to-end testing activities, including functional, integration, and regression testing.

Rate Range: $58/Hour to $61/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

GIS Test Lead Job Responsibilities include:

• Define and execute the overall GIS testing strategy, test plans, and quality assurance processes.

• Lead functional, integration, system, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for GIS applications and platforms.

• Validate spatial data accuracy, map layers, geodatabases, coordinate systems, and geospatial analysis outputs.

• Manage defect tracking, reporting, and resolution using tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, or HP ALM.

• Collaborate with GIS developers, business analysts, product owners, and stakeholders to ensure quality deliverables.

• Identify and oversee test automation opportunities while mentoring QA engineers and monitoring testing metrics, risks, and quality KPIs.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, GIS, Geography, Engineering, or a related field.

• 8-12+ years of experience in Software Testing/Quality Assurance, including 3-5+ years of hands-on experience testing GIS applications.

• Strong expertise in GIS technologies such as ArcGIS, ArcGIS Online/Enterprise, QGIS, PostGIS, GeoServer, and spatial data validation.

• Proven experience leading QA/testing teams, managing test strategies, defect lifecycles, and delivering projects using Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Pay Details: $58.00 to $61.00 per hour
