Penmac Staffing is seeking a GIS Analyst I to support a leading utility organization in the Springfield area. This position is responsible for maintaining GIS data integrity, supporting enterprise GIS applications, performing spatial analysis, and assisting users throughout the organization with GIS solutions.Requirements for the GIS Analyst I
- Bachelor's degree in Geospatial Sciences, Geography, Geology, Planning, Information Technology, Construction Technology, or a related field. Relevant experience may be considered in place of a degree.
- Minimum of three years of recent GIS experience supporting data networks.
- Experience with Esri ArcGIS products.
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to train and support GIS users and work effectively with diverse teams.
Preferred qualifications:
- ArcSDE administration experience
- Utility GIS experience supporting electric, natural gas, water, or broadband systems
- ArcFM experience
- Experience with GIS integrations, Model Builder, and enterprise GIS applications
GIS Analyst I Responsibilities
- Maintain the quality, accuracy, and integrity of enterprise GIS data.
- Perform GIS quality assurance reviews and support data governance processes.
- Manage and support ArcSDE versioning activities and workflows.
- Conduct spatial analysis, reporting, data modeling, custom tracing, and GIS visualization projects.
- Develop and support GIS applications and geoprocessing models.
- Assist with documentation, workflow development, standards, and project support.
