Job Description:
- Input, processing, and maintenance of Alabama Power Distribution Lines and Equipment assets in an ESRI GIS database.
Qualification requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor’s degree (Geography, GIS, or similar field), GIS Certificate, or at least 2 years of full time GIS work experience is required.
- Power Distribution knowledge is a plus.
- Experience with ESRI ArcGIS software required;experience with ESRI ArcGIS Pro software is a plus.
- Competency with standard computer software, to include Microsoft Office suite is required.
- Capable of working in a team environment is required.
- Experience with CAD (Computer Aided Drafting) is a plus.
- Flexible working 40 hours per week, M-F, in an office environment in Birmingham, Alabama.
- Shifts may be 8 or 10 hours per day, starting as early as 7am and ending as late as 5pm.
- Flexible to work remotely (from home) as well.
