Fusion HCR is seeking multiple GIS Analysts for contract-to-permanent opportunities with a growing and stable client in the utilities industry. This role supports electronic mapping, drafting, facility information maintenance, spatial analysis, and GIS system operations. The successful candidate will work with applications and technologies including ESRI ArcGIS, ArcFM, AutoCAD, GPS software and hardware, Python, and SQL. The position also supports workflow improvements, data requests, technical guidance, user training, and custom facility mapping for internal and external stakeholders.Position OverviewFusion HCR is seeking GIS Analysts to support mapping, drafting, facility information maintenance, and advanced spatial analysis initiatives. The role applies GIS principles, software, and data to develop complex maps, web applications, reports, and other spatial products. The GIS Analyst will create and execute spatial queries using geoprocessing tools, Python, and SQL to identify data patterns and trends and support requests from state, transportation, and operations integrity programs. This position also evaluates workflows, recommends system efficiencies, provides technical assistance to AutoCAD and GPS users, and maintains working knowledge of GIS, engineering modeling, and document management applications. Strong communication skills are important for coordinating with stakeholders, providing project updates, delivering presentations, and conducting user training.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce complex maps, web applications, and spatial products using GIS theories, principles, software, and data.
  • Develop and execute custom spatial queries using geoprocessing tools, Python, and SQL.
  • Analyze spatial data to identify patterns and trends.
  • Provide technical work guidance and lead GIS activities.
  • Analyze GIS data for other departments and evaluate relationships with related datasets.
  • Prepare concise reports and custom facility maps for internal and external entities.
  • Coordinate with local personnel and project management regarding project progress, GIS issues, and action items.
  • Deliver presentations and maintain regular stakeholder communication.
  • Conduct user training on GIS, AutoCAD, GPS software, Capture, and PaperVision systems.
  • Provide technical assistance to division AutoCAD and GPS users.
  • Evaluate workflow processes and initiate system efficiencies.
Required Qualifications
  • Experience applying GIS theories, principles, software, and data to operational or infrastructure-related projects.
  • Experience with ESRI ArcGIS and ArcFM.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and GPS software and hardware.
  • Experience creating maps, spatial products, reports, and data visualizations.
  • Experience developing spatial queries using geoprocessing tools, Python, and SQL.
  • Knowledge of spatial data analysis, data relationships, and pattern identification.
  • Ability to provide technical guidance and assistance to GIS, AutoCAD, and GPS users.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with project teams, local personnel, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to present project updates and explain technical information clearly.
  • Ability to conduct user training on relevant GIS and document management systems.
  • Knowledge of engineering modeling applications, document management software, and applicable procedures.
