GENERAL SUMMARY Responsible for identifying patient needs and priorities for care through assessment and planning based on patient needs and consistent with the patients expectation of treatment. Executes therapeutic physician or nursing-initiated interventions and evaluates the patients response to care and the attainment progress toward patient outcomes. Assists in all procedures performed in the Invasive Cardiology and Interventional Radiology Labs. Through documentation and verbal communication coordinates care between other professional disciplines as needed. Performs unit-based activities which contribute to a positive work and professional environment.
PRINCIPAL JOB FUNCTIONS
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Graduation from a School of Nursing with current Registered Nurse licensure from the State of Nebraska or approved compact state of residence as defined by the Nebraska Nurse Practice Act. Minimum of one 1 year experience as a Critical Care or MedicalSurgical nurse or equivalent required. Previous experience in hemodynamic monitoring skills and ECG interpretative skills preferred.
OTHER CREDENTIALS CERTIFICATIONS Basic Life Support CPR certification required. Bryan Health recognizes American Heart Association for healthcare professionals American Red Cross for healthcare professionals and the Military Training Network. Advanced Cardiac Life Support ACLS certification or certification within six 6 months of hire required.
