Job Title: Girls Lacrosse Assistant Coach

Asheville is seeking a dedicated and passionate Girls Lacrosse Assistant Coach to help lead and develop our high school lacrosse program. The ideal candidate will foster a positive, competitive, and inclusive environment while promoting athletic and personal growth among student-athletes.
Responsibilities:
Develop, organize, and implement a comprehensive lacrosse program that aligns with the school''s athletic mission.
Instruct athletes in the fundamentals, techniques, and strategies of lacrosse.
Plan and lead practices, conditioning programs, and skill development sessions.
Promote sportsmanship, discipline, and academic achievement among student-athletes.
Help to oversee coaching staff, assistant coaches, and volunteers within the program.
Help manage team selection, competition lineups, and in-season adjustments.
Ensure adherence to all school, district, and state athletic association rules and policies.
Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and school administration.
Organize and participate in fundraising, community outreach, and program-building activities.
Maintain and track inventory of equipment and uniforms.
Advocate for and support the growth of lacrosse within the school and community.
Qualifications:
Prior coaching experience in lacrosse, preferably at the high school level.
Knowledge of lacrosse techniques, training methods, and safety protocols.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to motivate and mentor student-athletes.
CPR/First Aid and coaching certifications (or willingness to obtain).
Compliance with all background checks and school district requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience coaching lacrosse.
Collegiate lacrosse experience is a plus.
Teaching certification (if applying for a faculty position).
