    The Gillett School District is seeking a highly motivated administrative assistant to provide office support for the Gillett Middle/High School Office, School Counseling Office, and School Nurse Office.

    General Responsibilities

    • Administrative Support to the Building Principal

    • Administrative Monitoring and Implementation of Health Plans, Medicaid Billing, Medication Distribution, Basic First Aid and other duties under the supervision of School Nurse and Director of Pupil Services

    • Administrative Support to the School Counselor (e.g. work with counselor in support of middle/high school student services including scheduling, academic/career planning, partnership communications, etc.)

    • Administrative Support to Athletic Director and school athletics and activities programs (e.g. event/building use calendar management, financial functions, scheduling of athletics personnel) as directed by Athletic Director

    • Welcome visitors and answer office phones as appropriate

    • Assist with school start up and year end activities

    • Utilize Frontline Absence Management system to fill teacher and paraprofessional absences with substitutes for the building; communicate substitute assignments as needed to other staff

    • Prepare daily announcements for the building; Maintain building website pages; Coordinate and produce building newsletters on a regular basis; Maintain in-house information boards; Assist daily with student/staff positive promotions: Support the celebration of student/staff achievements/awards

    • Coordinate payment services for food service: Collect other payments: Enter in fee management: Make deposits

    • Support building/program budget processes including requisitions and purchase orders: Process invoices, payments and credit card transactions; Manage supplies inventory

    Requirements

    • High school diploma

    • Associate's degree preferred, or the equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired

    • Maintain a flexible schedule to provide coverage for after-hours events, or on-call situations.

    Preferred Experience

    • Experience in work with student information systems such as Infinite Campus or Skyward

    • Basic experience working with Google Workplace applications

    • Proficiency with spreadsheets in either Excel or Google Sheets

    • Previous clerical and office work experience

    ITerms of Employment:

    • Length: 10 month position w/benefits

    • Hours: 40 Hours/Week 7:15am to 3:45pm (with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break)

    • Wage: Competitive Hourly Rate

    Evaluation:

    • Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions and policy established by the Board on evaluation of support staff personnel.
