Gift Store & Tour Guide Associate - Part Time Position

Do you enjoy meeting new people, sharing great stories, and creating memorable experiences? As a Gift Store & Tour Guide Associate, you'll play a key role in delivering exceptional guest experiences both in our retail store and throughout our facility. From helping fans find the perfect souvenir to leading engaging tours of the track, no two days are the same.
This position reports to the Gift Store Manager and is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, event-driven environment, enjoys working with the public, and has a passion for providing outstanding customer service.
What You'll Do
Deliver Outstanding Guest Service
- Welcome every guest with a friendly, positive attitude.
- Provide exceptional customer service and create memorable experiences.
- Assist guests with merchandise selection and purchases.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately and efficiently.
- Build product knowledge to confidently answer questions and recommend merchandise.
- Maintain a professional appearance and represent the organization with pride.
- Support merchandising, stocking, inventory counts, and overall store presentation.
- Meet attendance expectations and contribute to a dependable, team-oriented environment.
- Work a flexible schedule, including retail hours, special events, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Lead Engaging Track Tours
- Welcome guests and introduce the tour experience.
- Share the history, traditions, and unique features of the track through engaging storytelling.
- Clearly explain the tour itinerary and answer guest questions throughout the experience.
- Learn the facility layout and adjust tour routes based on track activities, weather, accessibility needs, or special events.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a safe, enjoyable, and accessible tour experience for all guests.
- Safely drive on the track as part of the guided tour experience (training provided).
- Deliver informative and entertaining tours that leave guests with lasting memories.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- Must be 21 years of age
- Must have a valid driver's license and be eligible under MVR requirements
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work well in a team environment
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with a natural ability to engage groups through storytelling.
- Friendly, outgoing personality with a passion for hospitality and guest service.
- Previous retail, customer service, hospitality, tourism, or attraction experience is preferred but not required.
- Comfortable speaking to groups and adapting presentations to different audiences.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds.
- Commitment to following all safety policies and procedures.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours during major events.
