R.J. Corman's My Old Kentucky Dinner Train in Bardstown is seeking a friendly, motivated Gift Shop Clerk to provide exceptional customer service to guests while supporting daily retail and depot operations. This role combines retail sales, guest interaction, and operational support in a unique and historic setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform clerk duties, including checking guests in and assisting with boarding
- Process sales transactions (cash and credit), assist customers with product selection, bagging, wrapping, and payments
- Maintain gift shop cleanliness and ensure merchandise is properly stocked
- Monitor, record, and report gift shop inventory
- Create visually appealing merchandise displays to enhance the customer experience
- Assist reservation staff with duties as needed
Qualifications & Requirements
Specialized Knowledge / Skills
- Prior cash handling and customer service experience preferred
- Strong communication skills with an enthusiasm for sales and guest interaction
- Self-motivated with a high degree of integrity, honesty, and strong work ethic
- Ability and willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
